Hi Everyone.

DC have just found some Batman art that Norm created for the Shadow Of The Bat series and returned them. These pages are now in the possession of Norm himself and are for sale - first time offered, first come, first served. Contact Norm directly if you're interested in them - nbreyfogle@chartermi.net

SHADOW OF THE BAT: Issue 65, Page 3: $150 - inks by Joe Rubenstein

SHADOW OF THE BAT PROMOTIONAL PIECE #1: $300

SHADOW OF THE BAT PROMOTIONAL PIECE #2: $300.

All three are nicely matted and ready for hanging. Obviously postage will be extra - get in there and grab 'em!

Wow, some really nice pieces, very tempting. I'd say Norm inked the promo pieces, promo 1 appears to use some sort of marker similiar to some of my Whisper pages. I especially like the use of black in promo 2 and the distinct Brefogle version of the bat symbol, why did the Breyfogle symbol change in later years?

I remember that Norm's painted mini-posters from Detective 604+607 were in some sort of exhibit that I saw on a television program many years ago.

Gal,

I was mistaken! Not being as organized as I could and should be, I forgot that the following pages were also returned to me recently from DC, and they're all for sale. Danny should be posting scans of them within the next day or so ... (none of these are matted).

In the meantime, these are their prices:

SOTB promo #3: $200

SOTB #3, pg 9: $100

SOTB #5, pg 2: $75.00

SOTB, #5, pg 19: $75.00

Detective #609, pg 14: $80.00

And I've also recovered the first page of the first issue of Prime!

Prime #1, pg 1: $500

These are really REALLY great.
Unfortunately,I know I won't be able to buy more than one piece
in a couple of months, so before I decide, I'd like to know a few things:

1) Are there are any other (DC or Bat related) pages on the way ?

2) The "Shadow of the bat" promo pages - were they published ?
and are there more of them ?
maybe a promo revolving a villain or villains?.

Thanks,
Gal

Gal,

1) Not that I know of.

2) The promo pages were published. #1 was in the DC Comics 1993 Editorial Presentation. #2 and #3 were published in similar formats, but I can't recall the details. Sorry.

And it looks like all three promos have already been sold. I'll let you know if any of the sales falls through.

No other promos, other than what's already on my site.

There's still a # of good Batman related items for sale on my site, for anyone willing to look hard enough.

If I ever get the time, I'll do a series of new Batman paintings and offer them for sale on my site ...

Yes; I've finally begun scanning and emailing - 3 or so per day - all my unposted pages (which will include "The Spectre" and "Black Tide" pages, among others) to my webmaster, so they'll be in the gallery section of my site before too terribly long.
